Natural Stone Information
Vellora Rosé Thassos Penny Round is crafted from genuine natural stone, including luminous white Thassos marble and contrasting rose-toned stone. Natural differences in color, veining, mineral deposits, and pattern are inherent characteristics of the material rather than defects. The colored pieces range from delicate blush and dusty pink to deeper rose, cream, and subtle gray-green tones, while Thassos provides a crisp white contrast throughout the mosaic.
The small penny round format creates a highly detailed surface with numerous grout joints that emphasize the circular geometry of each individual piece. The mixture of white and rose-toned stone distributes color across the sheet, producing a naturally varied appearance that becomes especially striking across larger installations.
For the most balanced installation, review and blend sheets from multiple boxes before setting. Dry-laying the mosaic is strongly recommended to distribute the natural coloration and veining throughout the finished surface.
Natural stone should be properly sealed and maintained according to the requirements of the installation. Sealing before grouting may also be appropriate depending on the grout and application. Consult a qualified tile installer for wet areas and other demanding applications.
Recommended Mortar: Laticrete 254 Platinum
Recommended Grout: Laticrete Permacolor Bright White
Recommended Sealer: STONETECH® BulletProof® Sealer
