Porcelain Tile Information

Heritage Cotto Compass is porcelain designed to reproduce the appearance of aged, hand-finished decorative terracotta tile. It is not natural terracotta. The porcelain construction combines the visual character of traditional clay surfaces with the versatility and performance of porcelain.

The V4 substantial variation rating and 30 individual faces are important parts of the design. Differences in cotto coloration, white background shading, distressing, edge appearance, and surface markings should be expected from piece to piece.

For the most authentic finished installation, open several cartons and blend tiles before setting. Dry-laying the pattern is recommended to distribute the various faces and tonal differences evenly throughout the installation.

Sample Orders

We strongly recommend ordering a sample before placing a full order to evaluate the actual cotto and white coloration, matte surface, distressed detailing, and decorative star pattern.

Because Heritage Cotto Compass features V4 substantial variation and 30 individual faces, a single sample cannot represent the complete range of colors, shading, and surface characteristics found throughout the collection.

Samples are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Shipping Information

Most orders ship via UPS or FedEx depending on quantity and destination. Larger orders may ship palletized via LTL freight when necessary.

Please inspect all material upon delivery. Any visible or concealed shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Material should be inspected before installation, as no claims can be accepted after the product has been installed.

Returns

Returns may be accepted on full, unopened cases in their original packaging with prior authorization. Opened cases, individual pieces, installed or altered material, and samples are non-returnable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

For palletized orders, please retain the original shipping pallet if there is any possibility of a return. Returned material must be securely stacked, protected, and properly wrapped for transportation.
